HJK's Miho Kamogawa is the Player of the Month for September in Kansallinen Liiga

Players selected HJK's Miho Kamogawa as the Kansallinen Liiga Player of the Month for September.

Kamogawa enjoyed an outstanding September and played a decisive role in HJK’s memorable season. The Japanese forward produced one of the most memorable individual performances of the season when HJK defeated Gnistan 6–1 in September. She scored four goals and added an assist in the match, leading her team with a display of clinical finishing, creativity and attacking quality. Her performances throughout the month highlighted why she has become one of the league’s most influential attacking players. 

Kamogawa arrived at HJK ahead of the 2026 season and quickly established herself as a key player in the club’s attack. Born in Japan in 1997, the experienced forward has built a strong career both domestically and internationally, bringing quality, composure and leadership to HJK’s frontline. Known for her intelligent movement, technical ability and a good work ethic, she has consistently been a threat in and around the penalty area.

In all the top Finnish leagues - Veikkausliiga, Kansallinen Liiga, Ykkösliiga, Kansallinen Ykkönen and Ykkönen - the players vote at the end of each month for the league’s Player of the Month. Players are not allowed to vote for someone from their own team. The player who receives the most votes during the month is selected as the Player of the Month.
