The player market is a site maintained by the FPA in which players without a contract can showcase themselves and offer their skills to clubs. Members of the Players Union can sign up for the player market if they do not have a valid contract or their contract with a club will expire within three (3) months. The new player market will be maintained from 1 September 2017. The players who have signed up are responsible for the accuracy of their information themselves.
The FPA gathers a team of non-contract players during the winter using the player market, and during camps, these players can train, play and develop themselves in a high-quality environment.
Even if you have a valid contract, you should keep your CV up to date. The FPA has created a new tool for its members to create their own football CVs to use when selling their skills.
